Staycation Month offers islandwide deals for Bermuda residents

Bermuda residents can indulge in a relaxing getaway right here at home, enjoying deals at their favourite hotels over the next four weeks during “Staycation Month.”

Ten of Bermuda’s hotels are participating in the special promotion led by the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) to help stimulate spending and support industry jobs as the island’s reopening continues. Throughout September, properties east to west are offering locals-only rates starting at $175 per night; staycation-goers can also take advantage of enhanced packages that include meals, spa treatments, resort credits, even rounds of golf.

“In a year when many of us are not taking overseas vacations, this is a wonderful opportunity for locals to discover the charms of our own island—while supporting Bermuda’s hospitality community,” said BTA Interim CEO Glenn Jones. “Whether it is a mid-week getaway or a weekend retreat with the whole family, Staycation Month showcases a variety of hotels, packages and amenities to suit different needs, preferences and budgets.”

Hotels participating in Staycation Month include:

  • Azura Bermuda
  • Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa
  • Grotto Bay Resort
  • Coco Reef Resort
  • Hamilton Princess & Beach Club
  • The Loren Hotel
  • Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort & Spa
  • Pompano Beach Resort
  • The Reefs Resort & Club
  • Rosewood Bermuda

As of today, a total of 21 hotels and resorts are open across the island and welcoming guests.

“Our member properties participating in Staycation Month are extremely appreciative of the ongoing support local residents have provided,” said Bermuda Hotel Association CEO Stephen Todd. “It comes at an opportune time, permitting hotels to reopen properties and once again welcome back to work our previously laid-off colleagues. We look forward to welcoming everyone during the month of September and beyond.”
