The Bermuda Championship is pleased to announce BF&M as the official volunteer programme sponsor for the tournament. The inaugural Bermuda Championship will take place October 28 through November 3 at Port Royal Golf Course, Southampton.
John Wight, Chairman and CEO of BF&M Limited, explained: “The success of any world-class event is due in no small part to the enthusiasm and hard work of the local volunteers. We have had first-hand experience of this in Bermuda with events like the America’s Cup and the WTS Bermuda Triathlon. BF&M believes that community engagement is key and we are proud to support the opportunity to involve as many Bermudians and Bermuda residents as possible by sponsoring the official volunteer programme in this inaugural year.”
In order to run a successful tournament, over 600 volunteers will be needed to fill a variety of positions. Golf knowledge isn’t required to volunteer; in fact, the tournament has a variety of opportunities for golfers and non-golfers alike. Those interested are encouraged to register early online at www.bermudachampionship.com to reserve a spot on their preferred committee, as spots are filling up quickly.
“We are thrilled to welcome BF&M as the volunteer programme sponsor for the Bermuda Championship. The commitment of BF&M Limited, along with the dedication of our volunteers, is key to making this event a success. It is extremely important to us that our volunteers are taken care of and have a wonderful experience.”

Out here is closer than you think. Located in the Atlantic Ocean off North Carolina’s coast, the island of Bermuda is just a two-hour nonstop flight from most eastern U.S. airports. Attracting adventure seekers, explorers, romantics and originals, Bermuda is where people, cultures and an alluring mystique swirl together, connecting visitors to a place far from everyday life. The island’s legendary pink-sand beaches, frozen-in-time historic towns and pastel-coloured buildings stand out at first. But it’s Bermuda’s original, ever evolving take on island life that brings travellers out here again and again. The Bermuda experience is elegant, relaxed and genuinely warm, celebrating cultures, reveling in nature and staying open to whatever is around the bend. The 35th America’s Cup, held in Bermuda in 2017, brought a fresh energy to the destination with new and redeveloped hotels, must-visit attractions and restaurants adding to the island spirit.
